Full Job Description

Overview
We are a small farm equipment dealership, seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our financial processes and will involve working with various accounting software and systems.

Full time position a possibility with added responsivities either in marketing or parts sales.

Duties

Maintain accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping practices
Prepare and manage journal entries, ensuring proper documentation of debits and credits
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections
Perform bank reconciliation to verify cash balances and transactions
Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Prepare financial reports, including budget analysis and account reconciliation
Utilize accounting software to maintain records
Provide support for tax preparation and filing as needed
Collaborate with management on budgeting and financial forecasting initiatives
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
Proficiency in accounting software is highly desirable
Strong understanding of financial concepts, including GAAP standards
Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis
Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry (10 key typing)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
