Job Title: California-Licensed Collaborating Physician — Remote Contract Role

Veloryn Health, LLC is providing administrative recruiting support for a California professional clinical entity currently being established. The selected physician’s final engagement is expected to be with the professional clinical entity—not Veloryn Health, LLC—subject to confirmation by legal counsel.

About the Opportunity

A California professional clinical entity being established with administrative support from Veloryn Health is seeking a California-licensed physician for a limited, primarily remote collaborating physician role.

The clinical entity is preparing to provide telehealth services to adults located in California. Anticipated areas of care include weight management, hormone health, men’s and women’s health, and general wellness and longevity.

Veloryn Health, LLC provides nonclinical administrative services. All clinical services and decisions will be provided through the applicable professional clinical entity by appropriately licensed healthcare professionals.

Proposed Responsibilities

The physician’s final responsibilities will be established through a written agreement following confirmation by legal counsel. Depending on the applicable requirements and agreed scope, responsibilities may include:

Establishing and maintaining the required physician–nurse practitioner relationship under applicable California law.
Supporting any applicable California transition-to-practice or certification requirements.
Reviewing and approving standardized procedures or clinical protocols where required.
Remaining reasonably available for clinical consultation and case escalation.
Participating in periodic chart review and quality-assurance activities where required.
Completing and maintaining all required agreements and documentation.
Collaborating professionally with an experienced California-licensed nurse practitioner.

Routine direct patient care is not currently anticipated unless separately discussed and agreed upon.

Expected Time Commitment

This is expected to be a limited, flexible, primarily remote role. The precise time commitment will depend on the final legal requirements, agreed responsibilities, clinical operations, and necessary consultation or review activities.

The physician and clinical entity will agree upon reasonable availability expectations before the engagement begins.

Compensation

The proposed compensation range is a fixed monthly stipend of $500–$1,000, depending on the physician’s qualifications, responsibilities, availability, and expected time commitment.

Compensation will not be based on referrals or the volume or value of patient services. Final compensation and responsibilities will be documented in a written agreement.

Required Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Active, unrestricted California medical license in good standing.
Board certification in a relevant specialty, such as family medicine or internal medicine.
No current license restrictions or unresolved disciplinary matters.
Ability to satisfy all applicable credentialing and contracting requirements.
Professional liability coverage appropriate to the final role, or willingness to obtain it before beginning.
Strong communication skills and reasonable availability for clinical consultation.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience collaborating with or supervising nurse practitioners.
Experience with telehealth or remote clinical operations.
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Weight management
Hormone health
Men’s or women’s health
Primary care
Functional or integrative medicine
Wellness and longevity
Familiarity with electronic health records and remote chart review.
Understanding of California requirements governing physician–nurse practitioner relationships.
