Body Shop Manager – Hoekstra Companies

Hoekstra Companies is seeking a Body Shop Manager to lead our collision repair operations with professionalism, urgency, and a commitment to exceptional service. This role ensures high‑quality repairs, efficient workflow, strong customer relationships, and a positive team environment that reflects our company values.

What You’ll Do

Lead daily shop operations and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Assign and manage technician workflow to maximize efficiency and repair quality
Ensure OEM‑compliant repairs that meet insurance and internal quality standards
Inspect vehicles and verify repair accuracy as part of the final quality‑check process
Communicate repair plans, timelines, and updates with customers in a professional, service‑focused manner
Work with insurance adjusters, prepare estimates, negotiate supplements, and maintain accurate documentation
Oversee scheduling, parts ordering, vendor relationships, and repair timelines
Monitor KPIs, labor hours, and shop profitability while supporting continuous improvement
Prepare performance reports and communicate results to leadership
Support Hoekstra’s values through teamwork, professionalism, and strong communication

What You Bring

5+ years of collision industry experience (Heavy/Medium Duty preferred)
Prior management or supervisory experience
Proficiency with estimating platforms (CCC ONE, Mitchell, Adjustrite, etc.)
Strong understanding of OEM repair procedures, materials, and tools
Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑up skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and coach a high‑performing team
High‑energy, customer‑focused attitude aligned with Hoekstra’s service standards

Preferred Skills

Leadership & coaching ability
Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods
Normal color and close‑up vision (with corrective lenses if needed)
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced shop environment and outdoors as needed
