Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor

Location: Nashville, TN
Job Type: Part-Time | Onsite (No Remote Work)

Schedule: Tuesday – Thursday, Saturday | 7:00AM – 7:00PM

Pay: $40.90/hour

Casa Loma College is seeking a passionate and experienced nursing professional to join our team as Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor to support student learning through direct supervision in clinical settings across nursing specialties – Adult Health I & II, Pediatrics, Maternal Health, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Fundamentals, and Health Assessment – and integration of current standards of practice. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your expertise will help students integrate current standards of practice into patient care, fostering critical thinking and clinical judgment. Faculty members are expected to uphold the mission and values of Casa Loma College while shaping competent, compassionate, and ethical nursing professionals prepared to meet the demands of today’s healthcare system.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Clinical Instruction (80%): Supervise and evaluate students in assigned clinical settings in the listed specialties; facilitate student learning through Socratic questioning, guided reflection, and clinical reasoning; ensure alignment of clinical experiences with course learning outcomes and program objectives; collaborate with lead course faculty to develop clinical schedules, syllabi, and evaluation tools; maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progression; uphold patient safety and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and institutional policies.

Professional Engagement (10%): Participate in orientation, faculty development, and mentoring activities; maintain current knowledge of clinical practice standards and evidence-based teaching strategies; engage in continuous self-assessment and professional growth.

Administrative Duties (10%): Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and clinical site staff; attend scheduled faculty meetings and contribute to curriculum refinement; complete required documentation for clinical site compliance (e.g., immunizations, background checks).

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Work Experience

Minimum of 3 (three) years of professional nursing experience in teaching in a clinical setting- precepting nursing students.

Required Skills

Current & unencumbered RN license in the state of Tennessee.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Experienced clinical expertise in assigned specialty area(s).
Current or previous teaching experience or clinical preceptorship

Preferred Skills

Master’s degree preferred in Nursing
Experience with online learning platforms and simulation-based instruction.
Familiarity with ACEN standards and competency-based education.
