Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations with precision and integrity. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees while maintaining compliance with applicable labor laws and tax regulations. Your expertise will drive efficiency across payroll systems, support HR and accounting functions, and uphold the confidentiality of sensitive information. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence our financial operations and contribute to a positive workplace culture through meticulous payroll management.

Duties

Manage and execute payroll processing using advanced payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Ceridian, UltiPro, Kronos, Paychex, and other supported platforms.
Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies related to payroll and benefits administration.
Reconcile payroll data with accounting records including general ledger entries, accounts payable, receivable, and benefits accounts using accounting software like QuickBooks or similar tools.
Oversee time & attendance systems integration to guarantee accurate tracking of employee hours and leave balances.
Handle payroll tax calculations, filings, and reporting in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Collaborate with HRIS systems to maintain employee records, manage data entry tasks, and support HR functions such as benefits administration.
Conduct detailed analysis of payroll reports, perform account reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of journal entries related to payroll expenses.
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information while ensuring compliance with labor law requirements.
Support internal audits by providing detailed payroll documentation and analysis as needed.
Assist in training staff on payroll systems functionalities including time & attendance tools and HRIS platforms.

Experience

Proven experience managing payroll within complex organizational structures using systems such as Workday, ADP, Ceridian, UltiPro or Kronos.
Strong background in corporate accounting principles including general ledger reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries and bookkeeping practices.
Extensive knowledge of employment & labor law as well as payroll tax law to ensure legal compliance across jurisdictions.
Demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), financial software (QuickBooks or similar), and HRIS platforms for data management.
Experience supporting governmental accounting standards including non-profit accounting if applicable.
Ability to analyze financial data accurately while maintaining attention to detail in high-volume environments.
Familiarity with time & attendance systems integration with payroll processing is highly preferred.
Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly in a fast-paced setting.
