Full Job Description

Sorenson Forensics, a leader in forensic DNA testing, is seeking an experienced DNA Analyst (Remote.) This is a part-time, 1099 position with compensation based on piece-work. Please note that no benefits are provided.
Although this position is fully remote, you will be working with our Forensic Scientists and team based in Draper, Utah.

Qualifications:

Meets FBI QAS degree qualifications (Bachelor’s in biology, forensics, or a related discipline)
Must have a minimum of 5 years of previous forensic analysis experience

Duties:

Perform case write-ups for criminal casework
Conduct tech and admin reviews
Produce detailed and accurate reports of results and conclusions
Interpret technical data and prepare a report with your scientific opinion that must pass peer review and be compliant with standard operating procedures
Conduct statistical analysis on DNA test results
Collaborate with co-workers to adjust processes as needed to satisfy customer needs and maximize production without sacrificing quality

Required Skills:

Ability to write, read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, standards, and procedures
Exemplary written and oral English communication skills
Attention to detail without losing sight of end goals
Ability to work with limited supervision
Preferred, but not required, STRmix training
