Kennel Technician – Career Path to Dog Trainer
Location: West Jordan

Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm

Do you love working with dogs and dream of turning that passion into a rewarding career? Sit Means Sit is hiring a Kennel Technician with a clear pathway to becoming a professional dog trainer. What You’ll Do:

Provide daily care for boarding and training dogs—feeding, exercising, cleaning, and monitoring behavior
Assist trainers with dog handling, field trips, and training exercises
Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary kennel environments
Learn the Sit Means Sit training philosophy with paid hands-on experience
Interact with pet parents during drop-off/pick-up with professionalism and warmth

Who We're Looking For:

Self-starter with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments of dogs
Physically able to lift 50 lbs, bend, squat, and be on your feet all day
Great communication skills and team-player mindset
Previous dog handling experience is a plus, but not required, we’ll train the right person!
