Full Job Description

Work directly for an established Northern NJ fragrance and cosmetic ingredient manufacturer known for producing high-quality specialty products. This is an excellent opportunity for a QC professional with laboratory testing experience to join a collaborative team supporting product quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Receive and analyze raw materials and finished products using QC testing methods including specific gravity, refractive index, melting point, GC, and sensory evaluation.
Prioritize sample approvals based on production and order requirements; generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and specification sheets.
Investigate out-of-specification materials, product rejections, and customer quality complaints while collaborating with Quality, Operations, Purchasing, and Customer Service.
Maintain accurate QC records, laboratory organization, safety standards, and documentation while identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor"s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
1-2 years of experience working in a Quality Control laboratory environment.
Working knowledge of laboratory systems, analytical equipment, and testing instruments.
Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices, hazardous materials, and applicable safety regulations.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Basic experience with olfactive/sensory evaluation of fragrances.
Fragrance compounding experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
$60,000-$68,000 annually, plus benefits.
