Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Attorney to join our legal team, bringing a proactive approach to a diverse range of insurance defense legal matters, including but not limited to general liability, construction/labor law, premises liability, automobile liability, trucking/transportation liability, and municipality liability. In this role, you will be expected to handle the defense in these matters from inception to conclusion by provide thorough legal analysis, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, including discovery demands and responses, conduct depositions, draft various motions, including motions for summary judgment and appellate briefs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis to support case development and legal analysis
Draft, review, and analyze legal documents including pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, briefs, liability and damages analysis reports
Advise clients on a broad spectrum of legal issues including general liability personal injury claims, construction/labor law, premises liability, automobile liability, trucking/transportation liability, and municipality liability
Recommend and negotiate settlements and agreements effectively on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes
Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, hearings, mediations, and negotiations with confidence and professionalism
Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines to ensure compliance with court procedures and legal standards
Stay current on evolving laws and regulations through ongoing research, continuing legal education, and professional development

Skills

Extensive knowledge of diverse legal fields including general liability personal injury claims, construction/labor law, premises liability, automobile liability, trucking/transportation liability, and municipality liability
Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for in-depth case analysis
Strong writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and persuasive arguments
Excellent negotiation skills to advocate effectively for clients’ interests
Legal drafting expertise with attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with case management and time entries for completed tasks
Ability to analyze complex issues quickly while maintaining professionalism under pressure
