About Us

Position Summary

The HR Generalist is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Human Resources & Employee Training & Development. This position supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function, with responsibilities spanning employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, compliance, HR administration, and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who is highly organized, approachable, discreet, and able to effectively balance the needs of employees, managers, and the organization in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources Administration

Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee development, performance management, and offboarding.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Ensure HR documentation, personnel files, and electronic records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
Utilize HRIS and related systems to maintain employee information and process HR transactions.
Assist with payroll-related activities, including reviewing employee information, timekeeping records, and other HR data as needed.
Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee questions regarding HR programs and policies.
Monitor attendance, leave, and other employee-related records and communicate concerns to management as appropriate.

Recruitment & Onboarding

Partner with department managers to identify staffing needs and support recruitment efforts.
Assist with job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring documentation.
Coordinate new-hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure employees are properly introduced to company policies, procedures, culture, and service standards.
Ensure required employment documentation and onboarding requirements are completed accurately and timely.
Help new employees successfully integrate into the organization and their respective departments.

Employee Relations

Serve as a professional and approachable resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, workplace concerns, and employment-related questions.
Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, counseling, and corrective action as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information.
Promote a positive workplace culture built on respect, professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
Assist with employee recognition and engagement initiatives designed to improve morale, retention, and overall employee experience.
Assist with employee offboarding activities as assigned.
Process employee terminations and related changes in PAYCOM.
Review and maintain resignation documentation and other required separation records.
Coordinate with managers, HR leadership, and Payroll to ensure timely and accurate completion of offboarding procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
2–4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the hospitality industry, including hotels, resorts, restaurants, catering, or banquet operations.
Working knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and employment regulations.
Experience working with an HRIS and related payroll/timekeeping systems.
Proficiency with PAYCOM preferred.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
