Full Job Description

Overview

Acts as the vital link between the court system, child welfare agencies, and parents working to overcome substance use disorders. Operating within a specialized problem-solving court model, the primary objective of this role is to safely reunite families by helping parents achieve long-term, stable sobriety.

Responsibilities

Conducts screenings and assessments for Family Recovery Court
Conducts program intake and orientation for new participants.
Home visits and outside meetings are required and will be a large part of the job. A Home office will be provided.
Collaborates with team members to obtain a weekly summary of participant progress.
Maintains case notes for participants that document all contact with the participant and any contact with an individual or an agency directly regarding the participant.
Maintains case management file on all FRC participants.
Promoting the general well-being of participants
Collaborate with outside agencies to provide support to families
Ensuring that families receive the necessary guidance and support to meet goals within the treatment plan.
Offering mentoring and suggestions for other support members
Developing and providing crisis intervention strategies to improve success
Working to maximize coping skills in difficult situations
Development of case plans of clients' situations based on needs and goals
Researching and advocating for appropriate social services for clients
Communicating with clients' care teams
Referring individuals to appropriate treatment centers, as indicated
Ensuring that all case files and other records strictly comply with policies, regulations, and procedures
Attends weekly pre-staffing, staffing, and FRC court hearings.
Participates in monthly/quarterly team meetings
Provides direction to ensure compliance with all statutory guidelines.
Offers input on appropriate sanctions and incentives for participants.
Informs the team of any policy/law changes as they occur.
Assists with data collection for program measurement, evaluation, and grant
Assists with maintaining the Policy and Procedure Manual and all other paperwork to ensure compliance with Problem-Solving Court Rules.
Other: Additional tasks assigned by FRC Coordinator, Judge, and Magistrates(s); this position reports directly to FRC Director.

Requirements

Baccalaureate degree from an accredited university, college, or CADAC II (or higher).
Complete a staff orientation program approved by the FRC Committee within the staff member’s first year of employment with the court
Complete the necessary and required continuing education annually
Complete and attend all required trainings

Pay: From $56,696.00 per year
