Full Job Description

The Traveling Lease-Up Specialist plays a crucial role in the lease up of new affordable housing communities. This will require extensive travel by car and plane which will include travel for 5-10 consecutive days at a time, away from home. Applicants MUST love being on the road. The position assists the Portfolio Managers/Area Managers/Site Managers and Compliance with the oversight of new lease ups. This position will require extended time, including weekends at locations during lease ups in Texas. This position requires a blend of administrative expertise, salesmanship, customer service skills, knowledge of LIHTC management practices and is flexible in schedule and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring tenant satisfaction and managing leasing activities while adhering to relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Manage prospect relations by providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
Oversee property leasing process, including marketing available units, conducting showings, and processing applications.
Assist with social media accounts to market communities and communicate with prospects.
Ensure compliance with LIHTC, Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions using software such as AppFolio, Yardi or OneSite.
Utilize conflict management skills to resolve disputes between prospects and management effectively.
Perform data entry tasks related to tenant information and financial transactions.
Working with Construction staff to facilitate and coordinate repairs.
Assisting current communities in distress.

Skills

Proficient in LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations.
Experience with property management software such as AppFolio, Yardi or OneSite is required.
Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with prospects/tenants and the community.
Effective negotiation skills for contract discussions and conflict resolution.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for financial, filing and data entry tasks.
Proficient phone etiquette for professional communication with clients and vendors.
Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Should enjoy controlled chaos.

All travel expenses are paid in full, including a daily per diem.
