Full Job Description

Town Square Sarasota is a small business in Sarasota, FL. where you can make a huge difference in people's lives every day!! - a 1950's-themed adult day care center that hosts 50 members daily in a lively and positive atmosphere - this is not Assisted Living/Memory care!!

We are looking to hire a Program Assistant who is responsible for engaging and facilitating activities with seniors at our adult day center. The ideal candidate has experience working with the elderly, a genuine interest in the well-being of others and is reliable, compassionate and a team player, on a tight team of caring folks. This position would offer shifts Monday-Friday beginning at approximately 8:30am and ending at approximately 4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break each shift. NO WEEKENDS!

Responsibilities:

Actively lead and participate in member programming/activities.
Facilitate activites including games, exercise, study/history, art/crafts and more
Assist with serving meals and snacks as needed.
Communicate in a positive, courteous, and professional manner with members and their families, co-workers, and the community.
Comply with company policies and procedures and safety and regulatory laws and standards.
Participate in staff meetings and in-service educational programs as needed; actively contribute feedback and recommendations for enhancing member experiences and achieving overall goals and objectives.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
Preferred prior experience working with seniors and/or adults with Dementia, Alzheimer's, or similar cognitive impairments.
Able to bend, push, pull, squat, turn, transfer, and lift 25 pounds; able to stand for an extended period while providing physical assistance to members.
Able to pass a level 2 background screening as required by the Agency for Health Care Administration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
