Job Title: Outside Sales Representative – Compact Equipment (Reno, NV)

Location: Reno, NV - South of Hwy. 80 (Remote / Field-Based)

Job Type: Full-Time | Exempt (Outside Sales)

Compensation:

Base Salary:$35,152 annually
Commission: Uncapped
Target Earnings (OTE): $150,000 – $250,000+

Reports To: Director of Sales

This position is classified as exempt under the California Outside Salesperson Exemption.

To meet exemption requirements, employees in this role are required to spend more than 50% of their working time engaged in sales activities outside of the employer’s place of business, including in-person customer visits, job site meetings, and field-based sales activities.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative responsible for driving revenue growth through in-person, field-based sales of compact construction and agricultural equipment.

This role is a true “hunter” position requiring frequent travel within the assigned territory and direct engagement with customers at their place of business or job sites.

Key Responsibilities (Field-Weighted)

Primary (Outside Sales Activities – Majority of Time)

Conduct daily in-person customer visits within assigned territory
Travel to customer job sites, offices, and locations to generate and close sales
Perform on-site equipment demonstrations
Prospect and develop new business through face-to-face interactions
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
Attend industry events, job sites, and networking opportunities

Secondary (Incidental / Support Activities)

(Must remain less than 50% of total time)

Prepare quotes and proposals
Update CRM and sales pipeline
Coordinate with internal departments (Parts, Service, Rental, Finance)
Complete administrative reporting

Territory & Travel Requirements

Assigned regional territory Reno, NV - South of Hwy. 80
80%–100% travel required
Regular travel to customer sites and field locations

Qualifications

3+ years of outside (field-based) sales experience required
Experience in compact equipment, construction, or ag industry preferred
Proven track record of achieving sales and market share targets
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
