Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are a growing CPA firm in Vernal, UT providing tax compliance, accounting, and virtual CFO services to a diverse client base across multiple states. We pride ourselves on long-term client relationships, high-quality service, and a collaborative team culture.

We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant with 1+ years of accounting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple deadlines, and excited about growing with a fast-paced firm.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain general ledgers for clients
Post adjusting and recurring journal entries
Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Perform data entry and account reconciliations
Communicate with clients to request documents and clarify financial information
Support senior accountants and CPAs in tax planning and virtual CFO projects

Preferred Skills & Experience

1+ years in accounting
Working knowledge of the accounting equation
Experience with UltraTax, QuickBooks Desktop/Online, MS Office 365, and Adobe
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple assignments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desire to pursue CPA licensure (preferred but not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
