Dental Office Administrator / Front Desk

Lake Forest Pediatric Dentistry — Lake Forest, IL

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay: $18–$30 per hour, depending on experience

About Us:

At Lake Forest Pediatric Dentistry, we're a tight-knit team dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate dental care to children in a fun and welcoming environment — with a 4-day work week and Fridays off all summer. We're looking for an enthusiastic, highly organized Dental Office Administrator to be the first point of contact for our patients and their parents.

If you love creating positive experiences for families, staying organized, and take pride in a well-run office, we want to meet you!

What you'll do:

Patient Concierge: Warmly greet patients and parents at arrival and check-out, ensuring a positive, stress-free experience tailored to a pediatric setting.
Schedule Management: Efficiently manage the daily schedule to optimize appointment flow.
Billing & Insurance: Verify insurance benefits, process claims, deliver treatment plans, and collect payments.
Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
Office Operations: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, manage incoming referrals, and keep the reception area organized and welcoming.
Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with our clinical staff, providing administrative support to our core team and helping onboard and direct seasonal student staff.

What we're looking for:

No experience required: We provide a comprehensive training program, so prior experience isn't necessary.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable and quick to learn with computer software and general office applications.
Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. An empathetic, cheerful demeanor is a must when interacting with children and parents.
Organization: Strong multitasking abilities and a keen eye for detail in a fast-paced environment.

A 4-day work week — Monday to Friday, with either Wednesday or Friday off during the school year
