Job Title: Parent Liaison

Classification: Exempt

Department: Enrollment

Position Summary

The Parent Liaison is a vital member of the Enrollment Department at Philip’s Academy Charter School, responsible for strengthening family engagement, building community partnerships, and supporting enrollment and retention efforts. This role ensures families have a seamless and supportive experience, increases participation in school programs, and contributes to the overall success of students while enhancing the school’s reputation and community connections.

Key Responsibilities

Family & Parent Engagement

 Facilitate workshops, school tours, information sessions, and community events to increase family

participation and support student success.

 Serve as a primary point of contact for families, providing guidance on enrollment, school programs,

and resources.

 Partner with parent councils and school leadership to build advocacy, leadership skills, and active

family engagement.

Collaboration & Community Partnerships

 Work closely with school staff and community organizations to address student needs, resolve

concerns, and support families.

 Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to expand the school’s network, programs, and resources.

Enrollment & Retention Support

 Support school-wide enrollment and re-enrollment initiatives, providing guidance to families and

facilitating participation in programs such as MKV.

 Provide targeted support during peak enrollment periods to ensure timely, accurate, and seamless

processes.

 Track engagement and enrollment metrics to inform continuous improvement.

Communication & School Brand

 Create and distribute materials to keep families informed about programs, policies, and engagement

opportunities.

 Promote a welcoming, supportive, and resource-rich environment that strengthens family relationships

and enhances the school’s reputation.

Qualifications & Competencies

 Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

 Experience in family engagement, community outreach, education-related programs, or advocacy.

 Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

 Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingual skills a plus.

 Proficient in technology and data management, including student information systems and reporting.

 Knowledge of school policies, procedures, and family/community needs.

 Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse families and communities.

 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

 Commitment to student success and academic excellence.

 Professionalism, integrity, and initiative in all interactions.

 Ability to maintain ongoing professional development.

 Required background checks and health certifications (CPR, First Aid, TB testing).

 Physical ability to assist students, including lifting up to 70 lbs.

 Dependable transportation for school and community engagement activities.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,563.93 per year
