Full Job Description

Milestone Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically skilled Licensed Primary Therapist to join our growing co-occurring behavioral health team. This position provides individual and group psychotherapy to adults receiving treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Our therapists work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping clients address both mental health and substance use challenges through integrated treatment.

Responsibilities

Facilitate psychoeducational and process therapy groups
Provide individual psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based interventions
Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and ongoing weekly outcome measures (including PHQ-9, GAD-7, substance use assessments, and other standardized clinical tools)
Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
Conduct crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and relapse risk assessments as clinically indicated
Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
Coordinate care with psychiatry, nursing, case management, referral sources, and community providers
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
Communicate effectively with families and outside providers as appropriate
Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care
Perform other clinical duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Clinical Director

Schedule

Monday – Friday
Five (5) 8-hour shifts

Qualifications

Active LPC or LCSW license required
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related behavioral health field from an accredited institution
Experience working with adults diagnosed with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred
Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, relapse prevention, and harm reduction principles
Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
Experience with electronic health records preferred
Familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

TF-CBT Trained
Experience in PHP or IOP behavioral health settings
