Full Job Description

Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Estimator, where your expertise will drive the success of our projects from the ground up! In this vital role, you will analyze project plans, interpret technical drawings, and prepare accurate cost estimates that align with client specifications and safety standards. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure competitive bids and smooth project execution. We’re looking for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering quality construction solutions.

Duties

Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine project scope and requirements
Calculate material costs, labor hours, equipment needs, and subcontractor quotes to develop comprehensive estimates
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates meet project specifications and safety regulations
Conduct site visits to assess logistical considerations, site conditions, and potential challenges such as heavy lifting or manual handling needs
Ensure all estimates incorporate OSHA safety standards, construction workplace safety regulations, and implementation of respiratory protection measures
Prepare detailed bid proposals that clearly outline costs, timelines, and safety procedures
Assist in the procurement process by sourcing materials and negotiating with suppliers to optimize costs while adhering to safety guidelines

Experience

Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding construction plans
Familiarity with asphalt, concrete, pipe & utility work is required.
Solid understanding of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with teams and convey technical information clearly
