Full Job Description

We are a locally owned civil utility construction company working primarily in the Waco, TX area, installing underground sewer, water, and storm drain systems. We are looking to hire 1–2 experienced Operator/Foremen to lead field crews and operate heavy equipment with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate excavators and related heavy equipment on active utility job sites
Supervise and manage field crews during daily operations
Read and interpret construction drawings, elevations, and cut sheets
Set up and use pipe lasers or rotating lasers for pipe installation
Coordinate with project managers and inspectors to meet quality and production goals
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with site requirements
Understand and be able to read the City of Waco details and specs.
Know how to install sewer pipe while understanding elivations and flow rates.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators in civil construction
At least 2 years of leadership or foreman experience
Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
Ability to read construction plans and perform layout work accurately
Proficiency with laser equipment and understanding of utility installation elevations
Understand Grades and be able to set up lasers and use grade rods.

Preferred Qualifications:

CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
OSHA 30 certification

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay range: $60,000–$110,000/year, depending on experience
Company truck and tools provided
Health insurance, long- and short-term disability, and life insurance after 60 days

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
