Position Summary

The Rotisserie Prep. Clerk prepares, cooks, packs, labels and displays rotisserie and other hot meat products. This hands-on position also supports receiving, inventory rotation, product quality, sanitation and customer service within the meat department.

Responsibilities

Marinate, prepare and cook chicken, pork, ribs, and other hot food items.
Cut, wrap, label and prepare cooked products for sale.
Stock and arrange display so products are fresh, organized, and attractive to customers.
Receive, inspect, and properly store meat deliveries.
Rotate products and monitor quality, sell-by dates, and storage temperatures.
Track quantities of meat received and issued to the Deli Kitchen.
Monitor supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, workstations, and surrounding areas.
Follow Health Department requirements, including proper glove use and handwashing.
Lift, move and rotate merchandise throughout the shift.
Provide courteous customer service by phone and in person.
Operate the baler and other equipment only when properly trained and authorized.
Assist with additional department duties as assigned by management.

What to Expect

This is a fast-paced, physically active food preparation position that requires strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety. Team members work in both heated and refrigerated environments.

Physical and Scheduling Requirements

Stand and remain active for the full scheduled shift.
Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds; heavy items require assistance or approved equipment.
Frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, push, pull and perform repetitive task.
Work around refrigerated areas, wet surfaces, heat and humidity.
Maintain department uniform, grooming, personal hygiene and sanitation standards.
Complete a required TB test.
