Dutchman Hospitality Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our corporate finance team. This is a full-time accounting role with room for growth, working closely with our Accounting Supervisor and gaining hands-on experience across core accounting and finance functions in the hospitality industry.

What You’ll Do

Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
Prepare financial reports and variance analysis to help leadership make informed decisions
Process and manage Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reporting
Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing using Paycor or similar HRIS/payroll software
Help document, audit, and streamline internal accounting procedures and workflows
Support accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and audit preparation as needed
Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
Experience with Sage accounting software a plus (Sage 100, Sage 300, or similar ERP)
Familiarity with Paycor payroll software a plus
Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Comfortable working with confidential financial data

Education & Experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred (or equivalent work experience)
2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, General Ledger, or a related accounting clerk / bookkeeping role preferred
Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit accounting a plus

Physical Requirements

Primarily sedentary office role; requires sitting for extended periods
Occasional reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
