Full Job Description

This is an entry level position. No prior experience is required. We will train the right candidate from the ground up. You will learn to analyze construction drawings and specifications to create material cost worksheets. You will then send requests to manufacturers for quotations to create cost proposals for our clients. Most clients are commercial General Contractors.

Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as basic computer skills. Most tasks involve using emails, Microsoft Word, Excel as well as Excel based estimating software. Must be self - motivated and passionate about learning new skills.

Organization and problem-solving skills are a plus. We provide many opportunities for growth within the company for the right person.

Junior Estimator Tasks:

- Read blueprints and specifications.

- Enter data to estimating software and prepare cost worksheet.

- Prepare quote requests for manufacturers.

- Prepare cost proposals for clients.

- Communicate with vendors and customers via phone and email.

- Attend job scope review meetings if necessary.

- Review with project managers on job scopes.

Requirements:

-Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Self motivated with strong commucation and organization skills

- Demonstrated professionalism and strong work ethic

- Excellent math and computer skills

- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, follow up and deadlines fulfillment

- Abilityto work indepedently or as part of a collaborative team

- Eligible to work in the US
