Full Job Description

What You'll Do

Join Active Radiator's Dayton manufacturing team in a skilled position combining CNC machining, manual mill work, CNC programming, and metal fabrication.

Read and work from technical drawings, prints, dimensions, and specifications
Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines
Set up and operate manual milling machines
Determine machining methods, sequences, tooling, and setups from drawings
Create and modify CNC programs to produce parts to specification
Establish machine offsets and make adjustments during machining
Select and change cutting tools and tooling
Perform milling, drilling, cutting, and other machining operations
Use calipers and other precision measuring instruments
Inspect finished components for dimensions, tolerances, and quality
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
Program, set up, and operate a CNC plasma cutting system
Program, set up, and operate a CNC press brake
Cut, form, fit, and fabricate metal components
Assist with fabrication and assembly of heat exchanger components

What We're Looking For

CNC machining and programming experience
Manual mill experience
Ability to independently read and interpret technical drawings
Experience setting up CNC equipment and establishing offsets
Ability to select appropriate tooling and machining processes
Experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting CNC programs
Metal fabrication experience
Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

A Plus

Aluminum TIG welding experience
Experience welding and fabricating aluminum components
Experience with heat exchangers, radiators, or similar manufactured products

Experience

CNC Machining & Programming: 3+ years preferred
Manual Machining/Mill: 3+ years preferred
Metal Fabrication: 3+ years preferred
Aluminum TIG Welding: A plus
High school diploma or equivalent required

Pre-Employment Requirements

Pre-employment physical
Drug screening
Onsite machining, fabrication, and mechanical aptitude test
Candidates with Aluminum TIG experience may also complete an onsite weld test
