Full Job Description

Overview

Pediatric practice seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Registered Radiologic Technologist to join their growing pediatric practice. The Radiologic Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.

Because we are a physician practice, the successful candidate will also assist with general clinical operations when radiology services are not being performed, making this an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Radiology Responsibilities

· Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by providers.

· Verify physician orders and patient identification prior to imaging.

· Position patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.

· Follow ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles.

· Operate, maintain, and perform routine quality control checks on radiographic equipment.

· Maintain appropriate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).

· Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness and organization.

· Maintain radiology supplies and report equipment issues promptly.

· Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and radiation safety regulations.

Clinical Responsibilities

When radiology services are not being performed, assist the clinical team by:

· Rooming patients.

· Obtaining vital signs.

· Recording patient histories.

· Preparing patients for examination.

· Assisting physicians during procedures.

· Administering immunizations and injections (as permitted by state law and training).

· Performing CLIA-waived laboratory testing.

· Sterilizing instruments.

· Stocking examination rooms.

· Assisting with referrals and prior authorizations as assigned.

· Performing other duties necessary to support patient care.

Qualifications

· Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

· Current ARRT certification required.

· Current Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License required.

· Current CPR/BLS certification.

· Pediatric experience preferred but not required.

· Medical Assistant experience is a plus.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Work Schedule

· Full-time

· Monday through Friday

· Occasional schedule adjustments based on patient volume

· No routine evenings

· Rotating responsibilities as assigned by Practice Management

· Experienced Rad Tech (3+ years): $30–$33/hour
