Full Job Description

CDL A Driver / Equipment Operator – Viking Tree & Stump

Join Viking Tree & Stump as a CDL A Driver and take the wheel of a versatile fleet while playing a key role in our daily tree operations. This is not a freight hauling job. You’ll be driving, operating equipment, and working alongside a high production tree crew.

Our equipment yard is located in Shelby Township near Jimmy John’s Stadium. Must have reliable transportation to and from the yard.

If you thrive in fast paced, hands on environments and enjoy working with trucks and equipment, this is your opportunity to grow with a strong, local company. 40-60 hour work weeks if wanted.

Responsibilities

Safely operate CDL A trucks including chip trucks, dump trucks, and equipment trailers

Transport equipment such as lifts, stump grinders, and loaders to job sites daily

Operate loader (Mini Giant or similar) to move logs, brush, and assist feeding the chipper

Assist with ground work including tree removal support, rigging, dragging brush, and job cleanup

Load, secure, and transport equipment safely between locations

Perform pre trip and post trip inspections on trucks and trailers

Maintain awareness of surroundings and follow all safety procedures on active job sites

Work closely with crew members to keep production moving efficiently throughout the day

Skills & Requirements

Valid CDL A license with clean driving record

Experience towing heavy equipment trailers preferred

Experience operating a loader or skid steer is a major plus

Ability to work physically on the ground, not just drive

Strong understanding of safety around trucks, equipment, and tree work environments

Reliable, on time, and ready to work every day

Must have reliable transportation to and from our Shelby Township yard
