Position: Front Desk Agent

Location: Hotel Elliott

Schedule: Part time

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Summary: Provide professional and courteous customer service to hotel guests by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
Obtain guest identification and credit approval.
Answer telephones; make and confirm reservations.
Answer inquiries about hotel services and local information.
Ensure special guest requests are noted and fulfilled.
Manage and resolve guest complaints.
Post charges, compute bills, collect payments, and make change.
Handle guest mail and messages.
Adhere to cash handling policies.
Communicate with the next shift to pass on necessary information.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; 1-3 months of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
Job Knowledge: Competent in required skills and understanding of the role.
Customer Service: Effectively manage customer situations and respond promptly to needs.
Adaptability: Adapt to changes and manage competing demands.
Safety and Security: Observe safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak effectively.
Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic skills.
Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of reservation systems, spreadsheets, and word processing software.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally required to stand, walk, handle objects, and communicate. Must occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.
