OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR QUONSET POINT LOCATION

Job Description

Candidates should be able to oversee the following duties, responsibilities and working knowledge of the following:

Understand & be able to perform electrical testing on wire feeders, wire harnesses, welding equipment, weld support and cabling as needed.
Capable to troubleshoot malfunctions utilizing electronic test equipment at the component level as necessary.
Responsible for delegating the replacement of faulty components and wiring as needed according to manufacturer’s specifications.
Monitor production stations to maximize throughput and labor cost.
Coordinate resources to ensure efficiency is maximized while maintaining high quality standards.
Work well with others as a team member while motivating others in a shop setting.
Maintain high standards of quality, intensive attention to detail during all aspects of item and system repairs as required.
Be computer literate, proficient in Excel, Outlook, PDF creation, Document Scanning, Inventory control, and Email.
Responsible for ensuring all Operators have received proper technical training, Quality and ISO training.
Oversee all labor on the Production floor ensuring the operation is running efficiently.
Utilize and communicate, manpower needs to increase and decrease labor as volume dictates.
Delegate and ensure that all workstations have work (minimize downtime) and the right jobs are on the right workstations; monitors and maximizes operator throughput.
Responsible for cross-training associates across Production Operations to reduce labor costs and position associates on the proper workstations.
Plan / Monitor / Schedule proper labor to match volume needs dictated by workflow.
Maintain accurate listings of all work orders, scheduling and delegation of per job needs to meet deadlines necessary.
Monitor part inventory by setting min/max limits and working with buyers as needed.
Maintain accurate delivery schedules, obtain appropriate documentation for deliveries and ensure that signed receivers are returned to the main office.
Maintain job hours as designated. Oversee time sheet and attendance with HR.
Maintain open communication with management on all levels from supply ordering to human resources requirements.
Understand and follow State Labor requirements and Company Policies.
Self-review for high level quality assurance and consistency while meeting production and output targets
High level of respect for workplace safety. Communicate and work well with others effectively.

Desired Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing experience with small assemblies (3+ years or equivalent preferred)
Previous experience with Electrical-Mechanical assemblies (3+ years or equivalent preferred)
Proven / verifiable managerial / supervisory experience a must.
Ability to handle changing priorities
Experience in a team environment
Ability and willingness to work on solitary tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to read, write, and speak English (preferred)
Strong ability to interact well with our customers.
MUST be able to pass a background check.

Education requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required
