Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospice care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized care and companionship.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing to ensure comfort and dignity.
Provide meal preparation and nutritional support tailored to individual dietary needs.
Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during movement.
Monitor and document changes in clients' health status, reporting any concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Administer basic first aid as needed and assist with CPR if required.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement care plans effectively, including memory care strategies for clients with cognitive impairments.

Qualifications

Previous experience in patient care, preferably in nursing homes or long-term care settings.
Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare team.
Certification in CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is preferred.
Experience or training in hospice care is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of end-of-life support needs.
The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients and their families.
A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and dignity at all times.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
