MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license
- HVAC Certification
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot LP gas fired hot air furnaces.
- Troubleshoot low-pressure steam boiler and controls.
- Troubleshoot hot water systems, controls, etc.
- Have knowledge of circulation pumps and motors.
- Have knowledge of steam boilers.
- Have knowledge of zone control valves – all systems.
- Have knowledge of electrical heating units – all types.
- Estimate labor and materials for the purpose of obtaining materials and assigning tasks to ensure job completion.
- Fabricate equipment parts for the purpose of meeting specialty needs and/or replacing unavailable parts.
- Inform supervisor regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations.
- Install a wide variety of maintenance parts and materials for the purpose of providing enhancements and/or upgrades.
- Maintain vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of facilities.
- Prepare written purchase card logs accompanied by receipts on a monthly basis.
- Respond to emergency situations before, during and after regular hours for the purpose of resolving facility and safety issues.
- Transport a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

TERMS: $25.07+ per hour with possible steps for experience; 12-month contract; Full-time with benefits
EFFECTIVE: Immediately
SCREENING TO BEGIN: Immediately; open until filled
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
Recommendation will be given at the August or September 2026 Board of Education meeting.
