Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, support patient care, and ensure smooth clinical operations. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality dental services in a friendly, efficient environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry and specialized areas such as pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and prosthodontics. If you are passionate about patient care and possess a strong knowledge of dental procedures and infection control protocols, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures with precision and professionalism, including oral surgery, restorative treatment, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all clinical supplies are stocked and ready for use.
Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; document treatment details thoroughly and securely.
Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following infection prevention management standards to ensure aseptic techniques are maintained at all times.
Monitor vital signs and assist with patient management before, during, and after procedures to promote comfort and safety.
Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments via patient management software, and managing medical documentation efficiently.

Skills

Proficiency with dental software systems including Curve Software, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR platforms for scheduling, and documentation.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies.
Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, sterilization units, and other dental tools.
Expertise in infection prevention management techniques such as aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures.
Skilled in chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow efficiency.
Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist in oral surgery or endodontic procedures confidently.
Excellent communication skills to support patient care and collaborate effectively within the team while adhering to healthcare infection control standards.
