Full Job Description

We are seeking a full-time or part-time legal assistant for our Annandale office.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Meet with clients to gather initial information
Attorney in preparing applications for various immigration benefits
Provide administrative support including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, entering data in case management software, scanning, mailing, and photocopying documents.
Assisting Attorney with immigration case management and follow up with clients and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Maintain accuracy in client case files and database
Assist in compiling client application packets for various immigration benefits in an accurate fashion to ensure that all required evidence and documentation is attached
Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate

Experience:
2 years of previous experience working in a law firm as a legal assistant or paralegal

Skills:
Must be highly detail oriented and
Must possess superior organizational and task management abilities
Must have respect for client confidentiality
Must have ability to work independently to complete tasks with minimal direction
Must have strong computer skills including word, excel, and email
Must have ability to use standard office equipment in performing varied activities including scanning, making copies, creating label, and creating mailing labels
Must have superior written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation
Must have Bilingual skills- English and Spanish are required for this position.

Special Requirements:
Applicants must provide 2 references from previous employers

Shift: Monday thru Friday (Full-time 9am to 5pm) or (Part-time 10am to 4pm)
Pay: $16 per hour
