Full Job Description

We are looking for a Front Desk/Treatment Coordinator that will perform all general front office duties for the dental office. Assist patients in understanding their treatment needs, treatment options, and payment options. Prepare, maintain, and monitor schedules for multiple providers. Schedule patients for efficient use of doctor and staff time. Confirm appointments according to protocol and patient preferences. Understand dental procedures and dental terminology for proper scheduling and treatment coordination.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
Greeting patients, checking them in and out, and introducing them to the dental team
Scheduling appointments, treatment plans, and post-treatment follow-ups
Collecting payments, processing insurance claims, and helping patients set up payment plans
Answering phone calls, communicating with patients and their families, and relaying questions to dentists and hygienists
Gathering and documenting new patient information, scanning patient forms, and maintaining related documentation
Presenting and explaining treatment plans, and educating patients about treatment options and oral hygiene
Verifying dental insurance information, reading insurance policies, and determining coverage for patients

Skills

Minimum 1 - 2 years Dental Experience (working with Dental software Open Dental or Dentrix
Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Docs
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
Professional attitude and appearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Customer service attitude
High school Diploma/GED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
