Full Job Description

Security Global Operations Center Officer

Location: Gaithersburg, MD.

Pay: $24.48 Hourly

Shift: Flex - varies

SCIS is searching for a PT time Global Security Operations Center Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management of both security and fire alarm monitoring systems, operating/monitoring communications equipment, logging shift activities, monitoring surveillance monitors and camera systems, processing required reports and making appropriate notifications. They will perform a variety of dispatch and control center functions at assigned site; may be assigned a rank, as defined by client contract.

What You’ll Do:

Monitors a central point alarm monitoring dispatching, dispositioning and archiving security and fire alarms; controlling and directing daily routine activities for security and fire personnel and affect command/control procedures for emergencies.
Monitors and operates Closed Circuit TV (CCTV), video systems, alarm receiving equipment.
Logs shift activities, monitors surveillance and intrusion monitors, alarms and camera systems, processing required reports and making appropriate notifications.
Use global communication equipment to include, but not limited to, two-way radio communications, telephone systems, secure phone, satellite phone, paging systems, alarm receiving.
Maintains all logs, reviewing and writing reports for incidents and emergencies utilizing a Significant Events Log during assigned shift.

What You’ll Bring:

US Citizenship
Must be at least 18 years of age
2 years of prior Global Security Operations Center experience
Must have or be able to obtain a Maryland Guard Card
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Availability to work various shifts as needed for site operations
