Job Title: CNC Programmer
Job Location: Monroe, WA 98272
Duration: 03+ Months Contract to Hire
Schedule: Mon – Fri (06:00 AM – 02:30 PM)

Job Overview:

The CNC Programmer role (Level 1–3) combines CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, and hands-on machining support.
This position is responsible for developing complete manufacturing processes, including tooling design, setup methods, and optimized machining strategies.
The role involves creating high-quality NC programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis machines, while also supporting shop floor operations such as troubleshooting, process validation, and collaboration with machinists.
This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in both office and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to determine machining methods and sequence of operations
Select appropriate tooling, machine setups, and cutting parameters
Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis machines
Create setup sheets, tooling lists, and work instructions
Design tooling and coordinate with planning for tooling requirements
Validate and simulate programs prior to release to production
Troubleshoot machining issues and support shop floor operations
Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve technical challenges
Revise programs to improve quality, efficiency, and accuracy
Develop and improve manufacturing processes and methods
Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
Perform additional duties as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong math skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in GD&T and blueprint reading
Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds
Ability to multitask and work independently
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Experience Requirements

4+ years of CAD/CAM programming (3, 4, and 5-axis)
5+ years of CNC machine setup and operation
Experience with Siemens NX, Vericut, and CATIA
Strong understanding of CNC machining, tooling, and manufacturing processes
Experience setting up and running CNC machines

Preferred Qualifications

On-machine probing experience
MasterCam (Lathe/Mill-Turn) experience
Autodesk Inventor HSM knowledge
Waterjet programming experience
ERP system experience (e.g., Epicor/Vantage)
