Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated, hands on, and detail oriented Transload Yard Supervisor to lead our daily yard operations and ensure the safe and efficient movement of freight. In this key leadership role, you will oversee transload activities, coordinate rail and truck operations, manage shipping and receiving, and supervise a team of yard and warehouse employees.
The ideal candidate will lead by example, drive operational excellence, maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, and identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency. You will be responsible for inventory accuracy, equipment utilization, workforce coordination, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities
- Supervise daily yard activities, including inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Manage inventory control processes within the warehouse management system (WMS) to maintain precise stock levels
- Oversee materials handling operations, including heavy lifting and mechanical equipment usage such as forklifts, ensuring safety compliance with OSHA standards
- Transload Fuels (Renewable Diesel and AvGas) from Rail to Truck and dimensional Lumber Truck to truck and truck to rail.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing training on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and process improvements
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline warehouse distribution workflows
- Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce OSHA regulations, and promote a culture of safety awareness among staff
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or yard management within a logistics or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution, and materials handling techniques
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting heavy machinery
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to train, motivate, and lead diverse teams effectively
- Understanding of shipping & receiving procedures in e-commerce or 3PL settings
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
