About Us
We are a growing B2B distribution and e-commerce company supporting business customers nationwide. We operate multiple e-commerce websites and manage a large catalog of wholesale products from our facility in Troy, Michigan.
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Customer Service, Data Entry & E-Commerce Support Specialist to work directly with our Customer Service Manager and assist with the day-to-day operation of our websites and customer accounts.
This position is a mix of:
- Customer service
- Data entry
- E-commerce support
- Product listing and maintenance
- Order and customer updates
- General website administration
You do not need to be a web developer, but a basic understanding of how websites and e-commerce platforms work is important.
Experience with Shopify, Magento, or another e-commerce platform is strongly preferred.
What You'll Be DoingCustomer Service
- Answer inbound customer phone calls and emails
- Help customers with order status, product questions, shipping questions, and general support
- Work directly with the Customer Service Manager to resolve customer issues
- Handle frustrated or upset customers professionally
- De-escalate difficult customer situations and work toward a reasonable solution
- Follow up with customers when additional information or action is needed
- Communicate with other departments to help solve customer issues
- Maintain a professional and helpful attitude even when dealing with difficult situations
Data Entry
Data entry and accuracy are a major part of this position.
You will regularly be responsible for entering, updating, reviewing, and correcting information throughout our systems.
Responsibilities may include:
- Enter customer information accurately
- Enter and update orders
- Update pricing
- Enter SKUs and product numbers
- Enter product descriptions and specifications
- Update quantities, variants, and product options
- Add and organize product images
- Maintain customer records
- Update shipping and order information
- Enter and maintain website product data
- Review spreadsheets and system data for accuracy
- Correct errors and missing information
- Transfer information between systems when needed
- Maintain organized digital files and records
Attention to detail is extremely important.
A small typo in a SKU, price, quantity, address, or product variant can create much larger problems later, so we need someone who takes accuracy seriously.
E-Commerce & Website Support
- Create new products on our e-commerce websites
- Add and update product descriptions
- Add SKUs, pricing, images, variants, options, and specifications
- Maintain and organize product listings
- Update existing product pages
- Check website listings for accuracy
- Correct pricing, product information, images, and other errors
- Assist with website promotions and pricing changes
- Organize collections, categories, tags, and product information
- Assist with inventory-related website updates
- Work within platforms such as Shopify and Magento
- Help keep our websites organized, accurate, and up to date
You do not need to know how to code.
However, you should be comfortable navigating the back end of a website and understanding basic concepts such as:
- Products
- Variants
- SKUs
- Collections and categories
- Pricing
- Images
- Inventory
- Orders
- Customer accounts
We can teach you our specific process, but you should already be comfortable using computers and learning how website systems work.

- Able to understand basic website and e-commerce functionality

We do not expect someone to know everything on day one.
We do expect someone who can learn, follow direction, pay attention to details, and become increasingly independent once they understand the process.
Experience We'd Like to See
- 1–3 years of customer service, data entry, office, or e-commerce experience preferred
- Strong data-entry experience preferred
- E-commerce experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or similar platforms is a major plus
- Experience creating or maintaining online product listings is strongly preferred
- Experience working with SKUs, variants, product pricing, images, and descriptions is a plus
- Experience with spreadsheets is preferred
- Experience with inventory or order-management systems is a plus
- Previous B2B customer service experience is a plus
The Person We're Looking For
This position is ideal for someone who likes having a variety of responsibilities.
One minute you may be helping a customer with an order issue.
The next you may be:
- Entering new products
- Updating pricing
- Correcting a SKU
- Uploading product images
- Updating customer information
- Working in a spreadsheet
- Fixing incorrect website data
- Helping the Customer Service Manager resolve an account issue
We need someone who can move between these responsibilities while staying organized and maintaining accuracy.
We're especially looking for someone who sees a problem and thinks:
"How do I fix this?"
Rather than simply passing every issue to someone else.
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week.
Job Type: Full-time.
