Full Job Description

Midwest, a distribution company headquartered in Slinger, Wisconsin, has proudly served an increasing number of convenience stores throughout the Midwest since 1969. As our company continues to grow and prosper, we are thrilled to be able to build our team to accommodate that growth.

Purpose:
Responsible for coordinating and managing office functions and providing assistance to your office staff and president daily. Provides assistance to other department heads and staff daily. Must be able to multi task and be organized in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a responsible and dependable team member that is able to work independently within a team-oriented environment.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Working knowledge of computers including Excel, Word, and MS Office is required.
A desire and willingness to learn new systems.
Two years bookkeeping experience, including, but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions is preferred.
Two year degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
Must possess effective verbal/written communication skills, solid mathematical skills, strong organizational skills, and be detail oriented.
Must be able to work effectively in an individual or team setting.
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Functions:

Manage staff including Customer Service, AP/AR Specialist & Office Assistant
Monthly and Quarterly State tax filings
Monthly Customer Rebates
Collections – Work with customers and sales representatives to collect bounced payments
Set up new customers in our system and notify all departments
Serve as back up to Customer Service
Process new hire information, terminations, and changes. Compute hours from time and attendance device, audit information, and enter into payroll input sheet.
Payroll
Petty Cash Maintenance
Organize and maintain all employee files, employment documentation binders in accordance to state and company policies and standards.
Serve as back up to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payables
Serve as back up to answering the phones and referring to the appropriate department or person.
Communicate effectively between departments for special events, vendors, guest meals, visitors, outside providers, and inquiries.
All other duties as assigned by president

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
