Full Job Description

The Front Desk Manager is responsible for providing Front Desk leadership to staff members and ensuring an outstanding guest experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as Manager on Duty as needed
Work front desk shifts as needed
Assist the General Manager in hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and training front desk staff
Train front desk employees, leading by example with a standard of excellence for:
Outstanding guest service face-to-face and via phone
Prompt and courteous facilitation of arrival, departure, confirmations, cancellations, and miscellaneous x guest requests
Order and cleanliness of the front desk
Mastery of the reservation, phone, and Wi-Fi systems
Concierge suggestions on the local area
Coordinate reservations and room assignments for individuals and group blocks
Collaborate with Housekeeping and Maintenance regarding room blocks, room status, maintenance issues, and special requests
Be the expert and champion of the customer rewards program
Maintain the inventory of front desk supplies, including key cards, marketing collateral, and giveaway items for reward program guests
Carry yourself with professionalism, organization, knowledge, and style to instill guest confidence in the property
Stay up to date on team member training and monitor front desk team training requirements
Monitor and develop team member performance by providing supervision, scheduling, coaching, evaluations, recognition, and rewards
Conduct property tours in the absence of the General Manager or Event Manager
Assist in guest room runs as needed or in the absence of a house person
Advocate continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline procedures and enhance operations
Reach overall success targets of the hotel, including financial, operational, and guest satisfaction performance goals
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management preferred; will consider business-related degree or experience in lieu of.

· Minimum education of a High School Diploma.

· Minimum of three years of experience in hospitality, customer service or front office operations.

· Outstanding skills in the following areas: customer service, verbal and written communication, relationship development, problem solving, attention to detail and organization.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

· High proficiency with technology, especially hotel reservation systems, the Microsoft Office Suite.

· Ability to push, pull, carry and lift 30 pounds on a regular basis throughout the shift. Moving furniture, frequent walking, standing, bending and stair climbing are also regular requirements of the job.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
