Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Secretary to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient service, and maintaining efficient administrative processes.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations to ensure a welcoming environment.
Schedule appointments and manage patient files with accuracy and attention to detail.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services and procedures.
Process medical collections efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Maintain knowledge of ICD-10 codes for accurate documentation and coding practices.
Assist with administrative tasks such as typing correspondence, filing documents, and managing office supplies.
Verify Insurances. Obtain Preauthorization for medications, Referrals when necessary
3-4 days a week daytime hours - 24 hours weekly total

Experience

Previous experience in a medical office setting is REQUIRED
Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred for effective communication with patients and staff.
Proficiency in administrative tasks, including typing skills and file management.
Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
