About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and planning engagements while serving as a trusted advisor to our clients. You'll work directly with business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals, helping them navigate complex tax issues and make informed financial decisions.

This role goes well beyond compliance. You'll collaborate with clients throughout the year, provide proactive planning, identify opportunities to improve their businesses, mentor and develop staff, and help expand our firm's advisory services.

You'll also have meaningful exposure to firm leadership, business development, process improvement, and long-term career advancement while helping shape the future of our growing tax practice.

What You'll Do

Review complex individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, trust, and other business tax returns
Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies for business and individual clients
Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of clients, providing responsive guidance throughout the year
Advise clients on entity structure, business transactions, tax-saving opportunities, and emerging legislation
Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through advisory, accounting, audit, outsourced accounting, and consulting services
Lead client meetings and communicate complex tax concepts in a practical, understandable manner
Mentor, coach, and develop tax professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team
Collaborate with Partners on business development, firm initiatives, and strategic growth
Drive process improvements through technology, automation, and innovation

What You'll Bring

CPA license required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Taxation or related field is a plus)
7+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning
Experience reviewing complex individual and business tax returns
Demonstrated success managing client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in advisory services, business development, and practice growth
Experience mentoring and developing team members
Proficiency with tax preparation software, Microsoft Office, and technology tools

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $120K+ Competitive and based on experience.
