Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Romanian Speaking In-Home Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to clients in their own homes. This vital role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence through personalized care. If you have a passion for helping others and are fluent in Romanian, this opportunity allows you to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Monitor patient health by checking vital signs, observing for signs of dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders like autism, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, ensuring their safety through vigilant patient observation.
Facilitate transportation for medical appointments or community activities while ensuring client safety and comfort.
Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
Use effective communication skills to interact with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to deliver consistent and personalized care.

Experience

Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly desirable.
Proven background in home health or community care environments, including assisted living or nursing home experience.
Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication management, first aid, CPR certification, and vital signs assessment.
Familiarity with specialized caregiving for dementia, Alzheimer's disease, hospice care, and memory care settings.
Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or other developmental disabilities.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques when assisting residents with mobility or transfers.
Strong communication skills in Romanian are essential; fluency in English is a plus but not required.
