Full Job Description

A private family office is seeking an experienced Accountant/Director to oversee and manage accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and administrative functions for a diverse portfolio of investment portfolios, real estate investments and family-owned assets. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong accounting expertise, real estate experience, and the utmost integrity and confidentiality. Working knowledge of tax issues with real estate and investments is a necessity.

Key Responsities

Manage all accounting and bookkeeping functions for the family office and related entities.

Maintain accounting records and workpapers for multiple commercial real estate entities.

Oversee shopping centers, review leases, manage leasing agents and management companies.

Monitor property operating results and investment performance.

Coordinate with attorneys, property managers, investment advisors, and other professional service providers.

Assist with family financial reporting, special projects, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.

Significant experience with real estate accounting, partnerships, LLCs, and investment entities.

Strong knowledge of tax-related accounting matters.

Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms.

Organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple entities and priorities simultaneously.

Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

Family office, private investment office, or closely held business experience.

Commercial real estate, development, investment, or property management accounting.

Multi-entity and multi-generational wealth structures.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work directly with senior family members and advisors while playing a key role in the management and preservation of family assets. Salary range: $130,000 to $140,000 per year.
