Overview
Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and health management. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide personalized care in a home setting, fostering independence, safety, and comfort for those you serve. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be the trusted companion and support system for clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a nurturing environment that promotes well-being and dignity.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s personal assistive devices.
Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes to healthcare professionals promptly.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care techniques for individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia, including engaging activities and safety measures.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning living areas, laundry, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and follow personalized care plans that address each client’s unique needs and goals.
Provide emotional support through active listening, companionship, and encouraging social interactions within the community setting.

Experience

Prior experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s or dementia care.
Hands-on experience using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts for safe patient transfers.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
Experience in providing long-term care or hospice support is a plus.
