Sanderson Psychological, LLC is a mental health practice that values quality of client care. Our goal is to continue to serve Elizabeth, Brownsville, Washington and the surrounding communities by making care accessible close to home.

We are seeking a compassionate, board-certified Psychiatrist or Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our mental health team in our Brownsville, Elizabeth, or Washington, PA offices. The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning, with a strong emphasis on medication management. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with therapists and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The ideal provider would be able to see a range of clients (including children/adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population) for a variety of conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, sleep disturbance, etc.

Job responsibilities:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments
Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia)
Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and care teams
Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications
Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental health conditions and medication
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including therapists, social workers, and primary care providers
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records in the electronic health system
Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives
Stay current with advances in psychiatry and attend relevant trainings and continuing education

Qualifications:

Board-certified in Psychiatry or as a Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Active and unrestricted license in PA
DEA certification with authority to prescribe controlled substances
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to culturally competent, patient-centered care

Preferred Experience:

Experience in outpatient or community mental health settings
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)

This position is for an independent contractor status with Sanderson Psychological,LLC at the Elizabeth and/or Washington location. Compensation will be discussed during your interview. Advertised hourly rate is based on independent contractor status and will be determined by your billable hours.
