Full Job Description

Commercial Business Development RepresentativeBase Salary + Residual Commission + Monthly Car Allowance

Salary: $50,000 - $110,000+ per year

Compensation & Benefits

$50,000 annual base salary
4% recurring (residual) commission on all contractual services sold
$500 monthly vehicle allowance

Unlimited earning potential

Residual commissions begin after the customer's first full month of billing and continue for as long as the account remains active and serviced by Sapphire Clean.

Typical first-year earnings range from $80,000 to $110,000+, with no cap on commissions.

Primary territory includes:

South Florida
Treasure Coast (up to Jupiter and Port St. Lucie)

Position Summary

As a Commercial Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities from prospecting through contract execution. You'll meet with prospective customers, perform property assessments, prepare customized proposals, negotiate agreements, and establish long-term business relationships.

This is primarily an outside sales position that requires strong prospecting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage your own territory while working independently.

Key Responsibilities/Business Development

Prospect commercial customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, email campaigns, social media, internet research, and door-to-door visits.
Build relationships with business owners, property managers, facility managers, restaurant operators, and other decision-makers.
Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Implement marketing strategies to identify businesses currently in need—or likely to need—commercial cleaning services.

Sales

Conduct on-site facility walkthroughs and assess customer needs.
Prepare customized proposals, pricing, and service agreements.
Present Sapphire Clean's services professionally and confidently.
Utilize a consultative sales approach to educate prospects, identify pain points, overcome objections, and recommend the best cleaning solutions.
Negotiate and close long-term commercial service agreements.

Account Management

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, proposals, and follow-up communications within the company's CRM.
Follow up consistently with prospects and existing opportunities.
Build lasting customer relationships that encourage long-term retention and referrals.

Field Expectations

Perform outside prospecting a minimum of four (4) days per week.
Previously scheduled appointments may be combined with prospecting activities to maximize efficiency within your territory.
Plan and manage your own daily schedule to maximize productivity and sales results.

Qualifications/Preferred Experience

Commercial B2B outside sales
Commercial cleaning, facility services, building maintenance, restoration, security, landscaping, pest control, HVAC, or similar service industries
Hospitality, restaurant, or hotel management experience is highly preferred
Existing commercial relationships and local business network are a strong plus

Requirements

Proven success generating new business and closing commercial sales.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while remaining accountable.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Comfortable initiating conversations with business owners and decision-makers.
Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to successfully complete a background check, subject to applicable law.
Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and reliability.

Schedule

Full-Time
Monday through Friday
Minimum of 40 hours per week, combining field prospecting, customer meetings, proposal preparation, administrative work, and follow-up activities.

Because Sapphire Clean provides essential cleaning services, occasional after-hours availability may be required to assist customers or respond to urgent operational matters, including evenings, weekends, or holidays when necessary.
