Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our vibrant team dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents. In this role, you will assist the director to plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging recreational activities tailored to the interests and needs of seniors, including those in assisted living and memory care. Your enthusiasm and creativity will foster a lively community environment, promote social interaction, and support residents’ physical and emotional well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors while working in a supportive team setting. On the job training training provided to obtain HCA certification.

Responsibilities

Assist Director of Life Enrichment to develop and implement diverse activity programs that cater to residents’ interests, abilities, and health conditions
Assist to coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, and themed activities to promote community engagement.
Build strong rapport with residents through personalized interactions and attentive communication to enhance their overall experience.
Collaborate with team members and family members to ensure activities align with individual care plans and preferences.
Assist Director in scheduling of activities, ensuring timely preparation and smooth execution of daily programs.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation, feedback, and activity outcomes for ongoing program improvement.
Utilize recreational therapy techniques to support residents’ cognitive function, mobility, and emotional health.

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care settings is a plus but not required
Abilities in assiting in event planning, program development, and coordinating resident-centered activities.
Familiarity with working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Childcare pr early childhood education expreience is also considered
Strong communication skills for effective client interaction, team collaboration, and resident rapport building.
