Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Shift Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to individuals during overnight hours. This vital role ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents or clients by monitoring their health, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a safe environment throughout the night. The ideal candidate will bring experience in senior care, home health, or working with individuals with disabilities, along with a strong commitment to patient observation and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Monitor residents’ or clients’ health status through vigilant observation of vital signs and behavioral cues.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety.
Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in condition using CPR and first aid skills.
Maintain detailed documentation of patient care, observations, and incident reports in compliance with healthcare standards.
Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition during overnight hours.
Conduct regular cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards within the living environment.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to update and follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols related to dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.

Experience

Previous experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and medication administration procedures.
Hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as autism or dementia is advantageous.
Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications like HIPAA training are a plus.
