What does the job include? And what makes us different?
- We supervise off-leash play, proactively managing the pack energy, and calmly interrupting inappropriate play. We avoid scuffles and escalations into bigger scuffles by paying attention and stopping problems before they start.
- We work with varying sizes, temperaments, and energy levels of dogs, while maintaining our postive reinforcement philosophy and maintaining a positive experience for everyone on a daily basis
- We maintain a clean and safe environment for dogs and humans. Everyone shares in the daily cleaning routines of vacuuming and mopping the facility, cleaning crates, surfaces, etc.
- We promptly pick up of dog waste (running to beat those poop eaters!) and clean up accidents inside quickly.
- We interact with dog owners primarily on the phone and via email, providing exceptional customer service.
- We use a reservations software program to track dog's schedules, so we are comfortable using a computer and can learn a new software program.
- We sell the top dog foods, treats and toys, we use the cash register to complete sales transactions accurately.
- We dress appropriately for the weather - we have a big outdoor play yard so when it's snowing, we're outside, when it's sunny, we are outside. Even when it's rainy, we run outside for potty breaks.
- We recognize signs of injury and illness and notify owners promptly and appropriately. Knowledge of pet first aid and CPR is helpful.
