Full Job Description

The Institute of Precision Pain Medicine is seeking a motivated, professional, and driven Receptionist / MA to join our growing Interventional Pain Management practice.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, thinks critically, takes initiative, and is eager to grow within the practice. This is more than a traditional front desk position. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and excited to learn every aspect of a medical office.

As you become proficient in your front office responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to receive cross-training as a Medical Assistant, gaining valuable hands-on clinical experience and expanding your healthcare skill set.

This position is ideal for individuals interested in long-term career growth in healthcare, whether your goal is nursing, physician assistant studies, medical school, healthcare administration, or another allied health profession.

ResponsibilitiesFront Office

Welcome and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
Answer and direct incoming phone calls
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
Verify insurance information and collect patient forms
Process payments and maintain accurate patient records
Coordinate referrals and communicate with patients regarding appointments
Maintain an organized and efficient front office environment

Cross-Training Opportunities

Room patients and obtain medical histories
Take and document vital signs
Update medication lists, allergies, and chief complaints
Assist providers with patient flow
Learn electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Provide administrative and clinical support as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
Prior medical office experience is preferred but not required
